🗺️ Route Description:
Long Route (10 km): Starts at Millstreet Country Park gates → St John’s Well → fireroad/climb along Blackwater Way → step over three boundary wires → summit cairn → Cross → 1 km out-and-back → 1.2 km descent to finish.
Short Route (5 km): Branches off at 2.5 km, climbs to the cairn, then descends to finish.
Flags mark the safest route; open mountain terrain with climbs, descents, and varied surfaces.
🚗 Getting There:
Start: Millstreet Country Park – Google Maps
From Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Cork: via Mallow → N72 → R579 → Millstreet → L1120 → Killcorney.
From Kerry: Millstreet → Rylane → St John’s Well (overflow parking available).
This is an open mountain race suitable for experienced trail runners, with both 10 km and 5 km options.
