Join Us for the Mark Mahon 5K

In loving memory of Mark on his 4th Anniversary, we invite you to participate in the Mark Mahon 5K. This event is not just about running; it’s about coming together to honor a life that touched so many. All proceeds will support CRY Ireland, a cause close to our hearts.

Place:                          Rathwood, Co. Wicklow (same course as the Parkrun 5k)

Date & Time:               Sunday, 02nd February 2025, start time 11am

Registration:               9:30am – 10.30amRathwood Carpark.

Whether you run, walk, or simply join us to cheer on participants, your presence will help us celebrate Mark’s legacy and make a difference in the lives of others.

Mark ran his 1st Marathon in October 2020, he loved to run so that’s why we have decided to do something he loved in his memory each year, last year we were blown away by the support we received, to see the amount of people who turned up on the morning of the 5K was amazing & hopefully with enough support we will be able to run the Mark Mahon 5k each year.  The fact that Mark often ran the track in Rathwood makes the event extra special because when we are running it we know that Mark has ran the same path.

Mark was a Private in the 3 Infantry Battalion in Kilkenny, we are delighted that the Defence Force are sponsoring Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place again this year, which adds a special something to the occasion!
