The 2024 County Tipperary Senior Road Championships took place in Templemore early Sunday morning with races starting @ 10:30am. Seen as the Blue ribbon event in the road running calendar. The race got underway despite the prevailing weather fast times were achieved. Mossy Bracken became the 2024 County Senior Champion running a great time of 31:44 to join the elite few who have won this title, Having already achieved a great deal in a short space of time having already been a champion at Novice & Intermediate road it was a great achievement to complete the Triple Crown. He is also the reigning & defending County 10 Mile Champion which will be held in Fethard on July 28th later this year. A great ambassador for the club he has worn the Moycarkey Coolcroo singlet at races near and far up and down the Country, His next goal is the Rotterdam Marathon in Holland on April 14th We wish him the very best in his preparations. Back to the race and we had Matthew Ryan also running a great race to finish in 4th place in a fine time of 34mins & 8 secs. John Fogarty ran well finishing in the top 20 in 20th place in 39:14, Unfortunately due to injuries and circumstances we were unable to complete the 4 needed to score for a team this year but Well done to Mossy, Matthew & John for giving it their all on the day.
