Races You Can Still Enter This Weekend Ending Feb. 1st

As January fades out and the evenings start to stretch a touch, plenty of runners are getting itchy feet. The problem is that a lot of the headline races this weekend are already gone from the shelf.
The Dundalk Half Marathon, the Trim 10 Mile, and the John Treacy 10 Mile are all sold out, and have been for a while. No great surprise. Dundalk keeps growing year on year, Trim is a staple of the early season, and anything with John Treacy’s name on it in West Waterford is going to fill fast.
That said, all is not lost. If you are willing to point the car down a few extra miles, there is still decent racing to be had this weekend. Below is a run through of 5K and 10K options, mainly across the Midlands, Leinster, and parts of West Munster, that are still taking entries at the time of writing.
Below are the races you can still enter this weekend:
Munster
1st. Feb. Castleconnell 10K - Limerick
1st. Feb. IMRA Curragh Woods 8K - Cork
Leinster
1st. Feb. Space Gym 5K - Kildare
1st. Feb. Coalminers 5K - Laois
1st. Feb. Cois Nore 5K - Kilkenny
Connacht
1st. Feb. Women's Mini Marathon 10K - Galway
