The Brand New Belfast Bay Run 10K Is Coming This October

A brand new race is coming to Belfast this autumn, and it looks set to tap straight into a gap that has been there for a few years.

The Belfast Bay Run 10K will make its debut on Sunday October 4th, starting and finishing in the Titanic Quarter, with a 9:00am start time and a capped field of just 1,500 runners.

And there is an early push to get people through the door. The first 200 entries will be available at a £25 launch price, going live on March 31st at 7:00pm.

A Return To the Titanic Quarter

There used to be a 10K in this area for years. The Titanic Quarter 10K ran every April from 2007 through to 2023 before it dropped off the calendar.

So after a three year gap, it is good to see a race back in this part of the city again.

It is a setting that works. Wide open roads, plenty of space, and closed streets that actually let the race flow properly. You are not dealing with tight corners or constant bottlenecks. It gives everyone a fair run at it, from the front right through to the back.

With the backdrop of the docks and the waterfront, it has all the ingredients for a really great day out.

Limited Places And Early Entry Push

With just 1,500 places available, entries will not be open for too long if it catches on early.

The £25 launch offer for the first 200 entries is clearly designed to build up a bit of buzz about the race. After that the price will increase, so there is a genuine incentive to move early if you are even half thinking about it.

Registration opens via the official event page on March 31st at 7:00pm.

A New Race on Familiar Territory

An inaugural race with a reliable organiser, and a location that already familiar with local runners. Add in a limited field and a reasonable early entry price, it does not need any more dressing up.
