How to Watch Irish Athletes in Action This Tuesday

There is both sprint and middle distance action on the cards for Irish athletes at the Czech Indoor Gala in the Vítkovice Athletic Hall in Ostrava this evening.
Sarah Lavin gets proceedings underway for the Irish contingent, with the Limerick athlete listed to compete in the women’s 60m hurdles in the mid-afternoon. If she progresses, Lavin will return to the start line just before 5 o’clock. She has already secured qualification for the World Indoor Championships in Toruń this March, courtesy of her 7.98 run in Lyon two Sundays ago.
Middle distance action follows later in the programme, with Mark English set to line up in the men’s 800m. English already holds Irish national records over 600m and 800m this season and arrives in strong early-season form.
Also in the 800m is Emma Moore. The Galway athlete broke the Irish U23 record again last week and achieved the Athletics Ireland B standard for the World Indoors. She will be aiming to back that up with another big run here.
