How to Watch Day Three of the European Athletics Championships

Day three of the European Athletics Championships promises to be one of the biggest yet for Ireland, with Rhasidat Adeleke making her eagerly anticipated return to international competition. Many feared the Olympic finalist would miss Birmingham entirely, but Adeleke is set to go directly into the women’s 200m semi finals during Wednesday evening’s session.

Before that, Mark English will attempt to book another place in a European 800m final. The defending champion looked composed when winning his opening heat and returns for the second semi final on Wednesday morning, with another major championship final firmly within reach.

Sophie Becker begins Ireland’s day in the women’s 400m heats before Lauren Roy makes her major senior championship debut over 200m. Roy could return alongside Adeleke in the evening if she progresses, while Nicola Tuthill will contest the women’s hammer throw final. All Irish start times, television coverage, live streams and results links can be found below.
