The curtain is set to fall on the World University Games in Germany and Team Ireland is going out swinging.

Four Irish athletes are in finals today across track and field, all looking to make a final-day statement. From the early morning race walk to two middle-distance races and a high-profile hammer final, there’s no shortage of storylines as one of the busiest weeks of the international summer season draws to a close.

Meanwhile, on the Continental Tour, Andrew Coscoran is back on the start line this evening at the ISATF Meeting in Bochum-Wattenscheid, Germany, where he lines up in the 1500m.
