Three Moyne AC athletes were part of the Tipperary Team in the National League Premier Division Preliminary Round in Tullamore on Sunday last.
First into the action was Emma Delaney in the 400m.
Emma finished in 5th place, collecting four points for the team.
Next up was Alana Spillane in the 3000m.
A very solid run from Alana saw her finish in third position, adding six points to the Tipp score.
Kate Delaney, now in her second year on the Tipperary panel, took on the 2k steeplechase event, finishing third and collecting another six points.
Tipperary finished in second place with 102 points,
seventeen points behind Galway on 119,
and four points ahead of Galway in third.
The top six teams going through to the final on 27th July in Tullamore are:
Tipperary, Galway, Kerry, Cork, Louth, and Sligo.
Tipperary will have much to do to close the gap on Galway in the final and try to retain the title they won last year.
