A Quieter Weekend of Irish NCAA and NAIA Indoor Action Stateside

The US collegiate indoor circuit eases off slightly this weekend, marking the quietest spell of January so far for Irish athletes competing stateside. There is still action to keep an eye on across NCAA and NAIA programmes, but the usual packed schedule gives way to a lighter few days as the indoor season briefly dials things down rather than stopping outright.
Below is a full rundown of the Irish athletes in action this weekend, along with meet details and information on how to follow proceedings:
Penn Classic
Ott Center, Philadelphia, PA | Friday February 6th
Friday’s action in Philadelphia features Sean Donoghue of Villanova University, who is entered in the men’s 1000 metres.

The busiest Irish contingent of the weekend can be found in College Station. Sean Aigboboh continues a strong indoor campaign for the University of Houston, having enjoyed a very positive season since signing with the University. He currently holds the national lead in the indoor 200 metres following his 21.50 performance at last week’s Robert Platt Invitational in Texas.
Friday sees Aigboboh contest the men’s 200 metres, while Victoria Amiadamen of Texas State University takes on the women’s 400 metres. Finn O’Neill of the University of Texas is also in action on Friday in the shot put.
Saturday brings a change of focus, with Aigboboh listed in the men’s 60 metres. O’Neill returns on Saturday as well, this time in the men’s 60 metre hurdles.
