The American indoor collegiate season kicks off this weekend at the Sharon Colyear Danville meet in Boston and a strong contingent of Irish distance talent is ready to hit the boards. The line up includes familiar names who impressed at the NCAA cross country last month, now turning their attention away from the mud and onto the track for the winter circuit.
The meet is staged at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center and is named in honour of Sharon Colyear Danville, a former BU sprinter and hurdler who competed at two Olympic Games and left a major mark on the collegiate scene before entering the university’s hall of fame..
