Cathal Doyle Back in Action in France This Evening

Irish 1,500 metre champion Cathal Doyle returns to action tonight as he lines up at the Meeting Stanislas Métropole du Grand Nancy in France with another opportunity to secure automatic qualification for the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham next month.
Doyle has already achieved the European B standard on three occasions this season and currently sits just inside the qualification places, occupying one of the final ranking positions. On his most recent outing in Croatia, he clocked 3:33.79, leaving him just 0.29 seconds outside the automatic qualifying standard. With a personal best of 3:32.15, set at the Rome Diamond League last year, the standard is well within reach if everything comes together this evening.
A strong run tonight could see Doyle become the latest Irish athlete to book his place in Birmingham through the automatic qualifying standard.tonight
Below is his Irish start time and details on how to follow the action.
