How To Watch Irish Athletes In Action In The USA Tonight

Five Irish middle distance athletes will be in action in Concord Massachusetts tonight across the 800m and 1500m, with fans able to watch every race live and free of charge.

That is becoming increasingly rare for US meets. Many of the top American collegiate and professional meets are now hidden behind subscription services such as ESPN+, FloTrack or RunnerSpace, making it difficult for Irish fans to follow athletes competing abroad. Thankfully, tonight's meeting is available worldwide via a free live stream.

The Irish action gets underway with Ennis Track AC athlete Gemma Galvin in the opening women's 800m heat. Galvin has spent recent seasons competing for Providence College in the United States and will be looking to continue her strong outdoor campaign.

She is followed by Clonliffe Harriers athlete Hannah Segrave in Heat 3 of the women's 800m. One of Ireland's most experienced middle distance athletes, Segrave remains a regular presence on both the domestic and international circuit.

Tallaght AC athlete Cormac Dixon is next up in the men's 1500m. The Providence College athlete enjoyed a successful indoor season, including victory in the BIG EAST 5000m championship, and will be aiming to build further momentum tonight.

Finn Valley AC athlete Roisin Flanagan takes to the track shortly afterwards in the women's 1500m. Best known for her steeplechase performances, Flanagan has represented Ireland at both European and World Championship level.

The final Irish athlete in action is Leevale AC's Charlie O'Donovan in Heat 2 of the men's 1500m. O'Donovan enjoyed a highly successful collegiate career at Villanova University and continues to compete regularly on the American racing circuit.
