Saturday is upon us again, and it's a busy one. Irish athletes are dotted around the map this weekend, from Louyet to Eugene chasing standards, scalps, and probably some decent post-race buffets. There’s plenty going on at home too, with the U20 & U23 National Championships taking place.

Just a gentle reminder before you start planning your entire day around these events: start lists are a suggestion, not a promise. Athletes might pull out, switch events, or simply vanish without a trace. It's not ghosting, it’s just athletics.

Here’s what’s on the slate for today, Saturday 5 July:

🇮🇪 National U20 & U23 Championships – Ireland
Category: Championship, Irish Domestic (F)

A stacked day of competition from Morton Stadium as the next generation of Irish talent takes centre stage. Olympian and U23 national record holder Nicola Tuthill will be action in the hammer throw, while European U23 cross-country silver medallist Nick Griggs returns to the track. Other athletes in action that have represented Ireland at Senior level include Seán Doggett, Conor Kelly, Elizabeth Ndudi, Lucy May Sleeman, and Fintan Dewhirst.
