Sophie O'Sullivan & Eric Favors Among Irish Set to Compete in Europe Tonight

Tuesdays are generally quiet on paper, but there’s quality in the mix tonight as four Irish athletes are on the startlist across two meets in Italy and Switzerland, three of them Paris Olympians from last summer.
Sophie O’Sullivan is set to return to the 1500m for the first time since her NCAA win just over a month ago. After a rough day out in the 800m at the European Team Championships two weeks back, she’ll be aiming for a cleaner run in Brescia. Joining her is fellow Olympian Jodie McCann, who’s clocking her fifth race over the distance this outdoor season. Unfortunately for those hoping to tune in, the meet is only being broadcast on Sky Sport Uno, the Italian Sky Sports channel, meaning you’ll need to be physically in Italy and emotionally committed enough to pay for a subscription. That said, we’ve included the results link below to help you follow along.
Over in Luzern, shot putter Eric Favors is also back in action. The Paris 2024 Olympian is enjoying a tidy season so far, having won the Johnny Loaring Classic in Canada last month and taken second at Cork City Sports last week. Earlier in the evening, Conor Cusack goes in the Men’s B Javelin competition.
Unlike in Brescia, there is a live stream available for the Luzern meet, see below for links and start times for both events:
