The Morton Games land at Morton Stadium for its 2025 edition of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze. Ireland’s top athletes, Olympians and European medallists among them will compete on home soil in Santry.

Here are a few Irish names to watch:

Cathal Doyle (Morton Mile) Having already booked his spot for the World Championships in Tokyo this September, Doyle returns to the 1500m after a run in the 800m at Cork City Sports on Wednesday night. The Clontarf Harriers miler will be eyeing another big result on home turf.

Andrew Coscoran (Morton Mile) National mile record holder and seasoned racer, Coscoran arrives in Santry after clocking a Season's Best in France last Friday.

Brian Fay (Morton Mile) The third Irish Olympian lining up in the Morton Mile is more accustomed to the 5000m, where he holds the national record, but he's dropping down the distances for a crack at the mile

Nick Griggs (Morton Mile) The 20-year-old European U23 cross country silver medallist is already flying after bouncing back from a freak illness, having claimed the national U23 800m title last Saturday. Don’t be surprised if he steals the show.

Israel Olatunde (100m) – The Irish record holder has an ideal opportunity to unleash his top gear in his home city.

Sharlene Mawdsley (400m) Euro Relay Gold medallist and Paris Olympian, Mawdsley rarely puts in a bad shift. Expect her to go out hard as always.

Efrem Gidey (5000m) – Euro 10,000m Cup gold medallist this year, Gidey’s stepping down in distance tonight, yet sill could dominate.

Cormac Dalton (5000m) – Quietly putting together a brilliant season. His 13:26.48 PB earlier this summer proves he’s in serious shape and ready to mix it with the best tonight.

Eric Favors (Shot Put) – The Irish shot put record holder and Paris 2024 Olympian is back in action. He’s already picked up a meet win in Canada this season and is in acrtion on home turf for the second time in three days following his second place at the Cork City Games on Wedneday.

They join a host of other very talented Irish athletes in action this evening, including established names who’ve represented Ireland at senior level, exciting up-and-comers, and plenty of familiar faces from this year’s national championships.
