County Senior XC Championship.
The curtains came down on the 2024 cross country season today at the County Senior Cross Country Championships in Cashel. Moyne had a team in the ladies' competition and what a performance they gave. Eileen Ely continued her excellent form on the grass with an impressive 4th place finish in a time of 25.18. Louise Fogarty followed close behind in 5th place with a time of 25.36, followed by Orla Healy in 6th position with a time of 25.44. Lisa Quinlan raced well also finishing in 18th position in a time of 28.13. The places of Eileen, Louise and Orla were added up to complete the standings in the team competition. The Moyne ladies were only 3 points away from being crowned county championships but sadly Clonmel took the crown on the day. But the ladies still came away with well deserved silver medals. Well done ladies on a great race and an amazing 2024.
Patrick Bowe was our sole representative in the men’s competition. Patrick ran a great race to finish in 36th position in a time of 44.44 for the 10km course. Well done Patrick.
