Tipp Intermediate Road Race Results
The County Intermediate road race championships took place in Galbally village hosted by Moore Abbey Milers AC on Easter Sunday March 31st. John Fogarty was flying the flag for the club running a good race which featured some uphills but had a nice downhill to the finish line, John Placed 17th overall in a time of 30:37 Well done John.
Streets of Kilkenny 5k
This popular 5k road race took place in Kilkenny City on Holy Thursday March 28th, attracting a large entry of 874 athletes. The start is always an interesting one beside the entrance to Kilkenny Castle with the big wave of runners having to navigate the narrow main streets of Kilkenny over a 2 lap course with big support from the general public it can be a good recipe for a personal best. We had 2 athletes representing the club with Mossy Bracken having another top class run in 7th place overall amongst quality opposition in a very good time of 14mins & 52seconds, compatriot Matthew Ryan also ran a stormer finishing in 32nd place overall in a fine time of 15mins & 52 seconds, Well done lads.
Fit4life Group Countdown is on
We are Starting back up our Fit4life Group
Beginning on Monday April 8th at 7:30pm,Training will take place from our club grounds in Littleton Eircode( E41 A0V5 ).We welcome All levels of fitness, Walking, jogging & running, Our objective is to work towards a 9 week programme with the aim of taking part in our Annual 5km Road Race on the 14th of June. Training will take place twice a week Mondays at 7:30pm & Saturdays @ 5pm at a cost of €2 per session. You do not need to be a member of a club to join us, Women and Men, All are Welcome. Qualified coaches include current athletes Mossy Bracken & Matthew Ryan who have both ran fast times for 5k and completed multiple marathons.
