Races You Can Still Enter This Weekend Ending May 30th and 31st

It is a noticeably quieter weekend on the racing front across Ireland, with the athletics calendar taking a rare breather after a hectic run of fixtures over the past few months. Still, there are a handful of races taking place around the country for anyone looking to squeeze in a late entry, shake out the legs, or simply avoid spending Saturday or Sunday afternoon lying on the sofa watching netflix and regretting last night’s takeaway.
Here is a look at what is taking place over the coming days.
Leinster
- May 30th. Tullaroan 5K, 10K, HM, M & UM - Kilkenny
- May 30th. Dunleer AC 5K - Louth
- May 30th. Timahoe Heritage 5K - Laois
Munster
- May 29th. Deadmans 5K - Tipperary
- May 31st. IMRA Tountinna 10K - Tipperary
Ulster
- May 30th. Norn Iron 100 HM - Antrim
- May 30th. NIMRA Slieve Donard 10K - Down
So there you have it. A quieter weekend by recent standards, but still enough happening around the country to keep runners occupied. Sometimes these smaller weekends can be the best ones too. Less pressure, less chaos, and a chance to enjoy a race without needing military level logistics just to park the car and find the start line.
