This evening, Tuesday, May 21st, the Galway 5km Series is set to light up the roads of Maree, Galway, marking a much-anticipated return to this location. Maree Athletics Club will host the event, welcoming runners to a brand-new race route, a refreshing change for the series after a few years away from Maree.
The race is scheduled to kick off at 8pm sharp. Participants are reminded to arrive early, especially those who need to collect their race numbers and T-shirts. Collection will be available near the starting line from 7pm to 7:30pm. Given the limited parking facilities in Maree, race organisers strongly advise participants to carpool to ease congestion and ensure everyone arrives on time.
Runners should ensure their race numbers are prominently displayed on the front of their T-shirts or singlets. This is crucial for accurate timing and to confirm participation in the organised event. The motto is clear: no race number, no race!
As the Galway 5km Series returns to Maree, excitement is palpable among the local running community. The new route promises a unique challenge and beautiful views, setting the stage for an exhilarating evening of running in County Galway.
The Galway 5km Series return to Maree is set to be a memorable one!
