Christmas Morning Mile, Big Dinny's Memorial Miles for Milford.

The Annual Christmas morning mile run walk or jog will be held at the track commencing at 10.30am and going on until 12 noon. This year the proceeds will go to "Big Dinny's Memorial Miles for Milford". an event that is gathering huge support from groups far and wide. So Christmas morning run, walk, jog or crawl come out and support this fundraising event for Milford Hospice.

 

Canon Hayes Recreation Awards 2024. Tipperary Town, Fri. 27th. Dec.

The Annual Canon Hayes Recreation Awards now in its twenty fifth year will take place in Tipperary Town on Fri. 27th. Dec. at 2.30pm. The Tipperary Women's Track and Field team have been nominated for the team award after winning the National Inter County League Premier Division for the first time back in July. Moyne AC had three athletes competing on the team, Emma Delaney, 400m and 4x400m Relay. Kate Delaney, 2k Steeplechase, Katie Bergin, 100m, 200m and 4x100m Relay. The team was managed by Martin Flynn and selector and stats. Geraldine Hickey. The awards will be presented by former Irish rugby international Alan Quinlan. Other recipients include Olympians Sharlene Mawdsley, Athletics, Daire Lynch Rowing and Aimee Leigh Murphy, Rugby.

 

North West Games Indoor T&F.  Athlone Indoor Arena. Saturday 28th.Dec.

The annual trip to the North West Games Track & Field meet in Athlone Indoor Arena takes place on Saturday 28th December commencing at 9.30am, with over 700 athletes entered in the competition this for many is the start of their indoor season. The club will be well represented at this event which is organised by Killybegs Athletic Club Donegal.

 

Club Celebration/Awards Night. Fri. 3rd. Jan. 2025. Moyne Community Center.

The athletic club will hold its Celebration/Awards night in Moyne Community Centre on Friday 3rd Jan. at 7.30pm. All athletes and parents are invited to attend this event which celebrates the achievements of our athletes in 2024 irrespective of a podium finish or not. Their have been many excellent results across Track & Field, Cross Country and Road from U/9 to Senior and Masters, so come along and show your support.

 

National Indoor League NIA, Abbottstown, Sun 5th. January. 2025

Moyne AC will be taking part in the National Indoor Track & Field league for the first time  in its seventy six year history on Sunday January 5th. Eleven athletes put their names forward to compete in the green and gold of Moyne AC,we hope to compete in eleven of the fourteen events. 

Emma Delaney, 400m and 4x200m and 4x400m relay, 

Kate Delaney 800m, 1500m and 4x400m relay, 

Alana Spillane, 800m 1500m and 3000m. 

Orla Healy, 1500m & 3000m 4x400m relay. 

Niamh Cleere, 60m, 200m 4x200m and 4x400m relay, 

Dearbhla Gleeson 200m, 400m, 4x200m and 4x400m relay, 

Ber Spillane, 60m, 200m and 4x200m relay. 

Katie Bergin, 60m 200m and 4x200m  relay. 

Aisling Dwyer, Shot and Weight for Distance.

Aisling O'Reilly, High Jump. 

Aoife Hall, 2k Walk.
