4th Place for Dillon at British University T&F


Dillon Ryan represented Brunel University London last weekend Feb 23-25 at the British University Indoor Track & Field Championships in Sheffield. A Bronze medalist in the Long Jump at these Championships last year he was hoping to equal his Gold medal win at the Outdoor competition in 2023 but unfortunately, it wasn't to be this time around just 2mm off his season best with a jump of 7.13m it is still a fantastic achievement to be competing amongst some of the best athletes across Britain and Europe It's still early in the Season with plenty of athletics events to come between now and July, keep the head up Well done Dillon.

4th Place for Mossy in Adare 10km


Mossy ran a very good race in Adare Co.Limerick last Sunday Feb 25th with a large entry of 799 runners Mossy came a creditable 4th place in just 30 seconds off the race winner in what was a very close race between the top 5 runners in a fine time of 32:09 for 10k Well done Mossy.

Good Runs by Matty, William & John in Nenagh


Nenagh Co.Tipperary hosted a 10km & Half Marathon on Feb 25th in the 10km Matthew Ryan lead the club home in a seasons best of 33:38 with William Bowe running the 10km distance for the first time running well too in 49:14. In the Half marathon John Fogarty ran a good race to finish 13th place for the 13.1mile distance in a time of 1hour&30mins+22secs Well done lads.

Tree Planting

On Saturday, February 24th we had a Tree Planting Initiative As part of Our track redevelopment, we have sourced some native Irish trees to plant including Rowan, Birch, Hazel, Rose, Apple & Oak to name a few. We will be planting the second phase This Saturday March the 2nd and need help from 1pm for an hour or so just bring some garden gloves and utensils, Much appreciated. Kids are welcome to come along as for many it might be their first time planting a tree, It will be a bit of fun and building for the future. Many Thanks Trees on the Land is a charity & not-for-profit project from the Green Economy Foundation in collaboration with The Woodland Trust in Northern Ireland, and the Green Economy Foundation, CECAS, Myross Wood House, Leap, County Cork, Ireland
