Run Clare returns for 2024 this weekend and kicks off with a stunning 5k from Spanish Point this Saturday, January 27th!
The series, which has been running since 2015, hosts a 5k in the scenic Spanish Point for the first time to get the ball rolling on another year of this popular racing series.
Organiser Jason Moloney told Run Republic about Saturday's race and what runners can expect from the course; 'We are hoping to see some quick times due to the relatively flat course (see here https://onthegomap.com/s/uiumacpv ).
'The course is ideal for beginners and walkers. We will have our brilliant DJ at the finish line and our chip timing company will also be in attendance to ensure that everyone gets an accurate time.
'Race HQ is St Josephs secondary school and the start and finish is close to the main entrance so we wont have far to walk!'
Jason highlighted that the Civil Defence will be on hand along the route to help anybody who may encounter difficulty which is great to hear.
The race kicks off at 11am sharp on Saturday morning, with limited entries available on the day between 9am and 10am sharp.
This 5k is a great way to take in the beautiful views of the Atlantic, so get to Spanish Point on Saturday morning to experience all this popular series has to offer from the start!
