Jungle Track Fundraiser This Saturday:
As we approach the final countdown on our Jungle Fundraiser in the Dome Thurles this Saturday November 22nd at 8pm All we can say is the Very Best of Luck to Everyone involved, as of writing our fundraising collective total is approaching the €35,000 mark of our €50,000 Target. Road Running Results:
There was Great representation from club athletes in Cork and Kilkenny Last weekend On Saturday November 15th Conor Moore had a good run in the Churchtown 10 Mile road race which had a record entry of over 500 participants ,Conor ran a good time of 1:18:00 Well done Conor. On Sunday November 16th at the Stook Road Races in Kilkenny hosted by Gowran AC, we had three runners in action , Held over a hilly up and down course Mandy Fennessy had a great run in the 10 Mile Race finishing 11th Woman and 78th overall in a good time of 1:21:08. In the 10k race Paul Gooney had a good run in 17th place in a time of 50:36 with Michael Roche also running well in 44th place in 1:00:22, each finisher in Stook Got a nice memento of a Cowbell instead of medal ,Good running by All.
Remembrance:
The club were saddened to hear of the passing last week of Jack Gooney Sincere Sympathies to his Family,Neighbors and Friends of John (Jack) Gooney,RIP. Jack was a former runner and Committee Member with Moycarkey, A nice man with an encouraging word. Condolences to All his Family Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
