Super Running @ John Treacy 10 Mile
Great Running By Moycarkey Coolcroo athletes Last Sunday February 4th in The John Treacy 10 Mile road race in Dungarvan,Co Waterford. One of the Top 10 mile races in the country with a large field of 2835 which sold out months ago. Mossy Bracken led the club home with another excellent run in 6th place overall in a time of 53:26, Matthew Ryan ran a great race too running a new personal best of 55:41 with Conor Keating completing the trifecta finishing very well with a PB too of 57:22, The trios combined times total of 2:46:26 earned them a Bronze medal in the Team competition Finishing 3rd out of 65 teams and were just 4 seconds off the Silver medals is a great result for the club Well done Lads.
Bansha Mountain Run
Kevin Shortall ran the IMRA Mountain race in Bansha Woods on Sunday, February 4th with a distance of 8.5km with a 260metre climb, Kevin ran a good race to finish in 12th place in a time of 37:20 Well done Kevin.
Club AGM This Friday
Our Annual General Meeting with the appointment of Officers for 2024 will take place in our club house in Littleton on Friday February 9th @ 7:30pm All Welcome to attend.
Charity Run/Walk 5km for Ciarán
A 5km walk/run will take place on Sunday February 11th from 10am - 11.30am in Moycarkey Borris Gaa grounds to raise vital funds for Ciarán's Cancer Treatment Fund.
Ciarán is 4 years old and is currently undergoing treatment for Medulloblastoma Cancer in his brain and spine. Ciarán's grandfather Joe Bracken is a former athlete & runner with Moycarkey & We would really appreciate any donations for this extremely worthy cause through the GoFundMe link below.
