Tipperary Star Athletics Awards

This ceremony took place in the Horse&Jockey Last Saturday March 9th with several of our club members involved and in attendance on the night,Award Winners were Sean Mockler, Sean Sheehan and Conor Keating,Excellence in Cross Country - U/14 Boys (Mary Doyle Memorial Cup) Awarded to Sean Sheehan. Conor Keating was recognized as scoring member of the Tipperary County Cross Country Team that Won Munster Senior Gold held in the Turnpike last year.Tipperary Best Senior Male Athlete and International Achievement Award For Sean Mockler accepted on the night by his father Michael. Club member Tommy Healy presented awards named to Tipperary athletes in honor of his father the late great Tom Healy, past club members including race walkers Liam & Cillian McDonagh were also there in support of Seamie Hartigan Templemore ac receiving his well deserved Hall of Fame award. Fantastic achievements Very Well done to all involved.

Portlaoise 5K March 17th

Moycarkey Coolcroo were well represented at the Portlaoise St.Patricks Day 5km which attracted a big turnout of 862 runners, Mossy Bracken led the club home in great form running a fine time of 15:12 in 8th place overall followed by Matthew Ryan running well too close to breaking the 16 mins in 16:07 in 23rd place and Donie Bergin marking his senior debut for the club having ran previously with MCAC as a Juvenile athlete Donie ran a good race in a time of 20:46. Well done Lads Great stuff.

St.Patricks Day Parade

Well done to everyone that marched in the Littleton St.Patrick's Day Parade the rain held off for what is always a fun occasion for young and old and a great way to represent the club,We had an Olympic theme this year where the Games are been held in Paris, France in July we had The Irish, French and Olympic flags as well as flags from all the other countries from around the World with each child holding a small flag in each hand to represent the country. The children also held up trophies won by the club throughout the year by our Senior & Juniors. Well done to Everyone thanks to the Club committee for organising everything and Padraig Crowe who made a special home made Olympic torch carried by the Children, A goodie bag was given out at the end to send everyone home happy.

Fit4life Group Returning

We are Starting back up our Fit4life Group Beginning on Monday April 8th at 7:30pm,Training will take place from our club grounds in Littleton Eircode( E41 A0V5 ).We welcome All levels of fitness!! Our objective is to work towards a 9 week programme with the aim of taking part in our Annual 5km Road Race on the 14th of June. Training will take place twice a week Mondays at 7:30pm & Saturdays @ 5pm at a cost of €2 per session. You do not need to be a member of a club to join us All are Welcome. Qualified coaches include current athletes Mossy Bracken & Matthew Ryan.
