The fifth race in the Summer/Autumn Trail League is set to take place this evening, Wednesday, 3rd of July, at 7:30 pm. Trail and mountain runners are eagerly anticipating this race, which marks the return of the league after a short break following the Cratloe event.
The venue for tonight's race is the picturesque Warrenscourt Forest and the course spans 6.4km and includes a 150m elevation gain, offering participants a varied mix of river walk, fire road, forest trail, and grassy paths. This combination is sure to test the skills of all competitors.
Brian Buckley is the Race Director for the day, and he has meticulously prepared the course, ensuring that it provides both a fair challenge and a scenic journey through the forest.
This race at Warrenscourt Forest also kicks off a busy month for the league, with a total of five Summer/Autumn Trail League races scheduled throughout July. Runners are eager to make their mark on the league table!
