It was another impressive week of performances for Tinryland AC athletes across multiple disciplines—road racing, track, and triathlon—with victories, podiums, and top finishes recorded at events around the country.

🏆 Mick Kelly Dominates Kilkenny Road Series

Mick Kelly capped off a stellar campaign in the Kilkenny Road Series, taking a commanding win in the final 6-mile stage with a solo run of 34:37, winning by nearly five minutes.

Mick’s consistency across the series—winning 4 of the 5 stages (2, 3, 4, and 6 miles)—secured him the overall title. A phenomenal effort from start to finish! 🔥🔥

🥈 Track & Field – SETU Carlow

At the Track and Field Live meet in SETU Carlow, Padraig Webb lined up in the 1-mile race, finishing 2nd behind training partner Niall Harvey, who clocked 4:29. Despite wet and windy conditions, Padraig ran a solid 4:37. Well done to both athletes for representing the club with distinction on the track.

🏃‍♂️ SLOT Fit for Life 3K Series

Tinryland AC had a strong presence at the latest SLOT Fit for Life 3K race:

  • John Dillon showed strong race awareness, coming through the field to place 5th overall in 10:50, following a busy week of racing.
  • PJ Blanche made his return with a 12:48 finish, and didn’t stop there—lining out again the next morning at the Tullow parkrun, where he clocked 23:00 for 5K.
  • Orla Glancy took on pacemaking duties, finishing in 16:39 for 61st place, helping others hit their target times.

🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃 Tinryland Athletes at TriAthy

The club was also represented at this weekend’s TriAthy Triathlon:

  • Pat Burke, a multi-talented athlete and GAA player with Baltinglass, took on the Sprint Triathlon, finishing 3rd in his age group and an outstanding 32nd overall out of 614 competitors.
  • Gracie O’Reilly, a seasoned triathlete, competed in the T100 endurance race, putting in a strong performance to finish 12th in her age group—just outside the top 10 in a competitive field.

👏 Well Done All

From road victories and track medals to multisport achievements, Tinryland AC athletes continue to show strength, versatility, and club spirit across all levels. Well done to everyone who competed!
