Moycarkey Coolcroo A.C 5k Big News:

Lauren Represents at Munster Juvenile Track & Field:
Well done to Lauren Casey on Saturday May 23rd at the Munster Juvenile Track & Field with Competitors from all the major clubs and counties but Lauren represented the club so well!
In the Girls U9s Lauren was 1st in her 300m heat with 4th fastest time overall out of 37 runners, just missing out on medal. Winning time 56.92 and Lauren's time was 58.60, 2nd in her 60m heat. 14th overall out of 55 runners. Winning time 10.04 and Lauren's time was 10.71.
Training will continue this week in preparation for the Community games evening on Thursday 4th June.
Ballyanders 5k:
Ballyanders 5k run against cancer race took place in County Limerick last Sunday May 24th with Good running from Denis O'Reilly in 5th place overall in 22:57 and Mandy Fennessy 2nd woman & 10th place overall in 24:07.
Walls of Fethard 5k: There was a big turnout of 282 runners in Fethard last Friday May 23rd for the Walls of Fethard 5k, First home for the club was Donie Bergin in 7th place in 17:16, Nikki Kenneally 4th woman & 36th place overall , Shane Mullaney 54th place in 20:08, Emir Costello 22mins:31secs, Niall O'Sullivan 22mins & 42secs, Catherine Gleeson 29mins & 9 secs.
Dublin Graded T&F Meet:
Conor Keating ran his first 10k on the track at the Dublin Graded meet last Weds May 20th finishing in 9th place in a time of 36:05.7 Well done Conor.
Fast running in Meath:
Close to 700 runners gathered in Enfield,Co Meath, Tuesday May 19th for the popular Bob Heffernan and Mary Hanley 5k , A fast race which included Irish Internationals Sean Tobin Clonmel AC, John Travers Donore Harriers AC, & Jake O'Regan St.John's AC, Mossy Bracken in his first race back since running the Hamburg marathon showed he still has the speed in the legs running 15:13 & 15th place overall amongt a stacked field, Shane Minogue also ran well clocking 16:48 Well done Lads.
Cheetah 5k ,Poulmucka & Colaiste Mhuire Run Results:
14th of May: The Cheetah 5k took place in Fota Wildlife Park in Cork last Thursday with over 800 entrants Denis O'Reilly ran well in 65th place in 21:25 with Mandy Fennessy having a good run too in 95th place in 22:45. Poulmucka 8k took place last Friday Kevin Shortall led the club home in 12th place in 30mins&32secs, Paul Gooney running well too in 67th place in 27:13. Colaiste Mhuire 6k in Thurles took place on Sunday May 17th Liam Meaney was first home from the club in 5th place, Peter Kinane 27:49, Niall O'Sullivan 27:50, Well done to All.

We wish a speedy recovery from injury to Matthew Ryan who unfortunately picked up a stress fracture, it's been a stellar year for Matty having recently set a personal best in the Hamburg marathon.
Moycarkey Borris Community Games:
Juvenile Qualifiers takes place in Moycarkey Coolcroo field Littleton on Thursday June 4th register from 6:45pm All welcome to take part must have an address in Moycarkey Borris parish but Don't have to be with a club to enter. Events are as follows: U6 - 60m fun race, U8 60m & 80m, U10-100m & 200m, U12 - 100m, 200m, & 600m, u14 -100m,200m,800m, U16- 100m, 200m & 1500m, U10s & U14s Hurdles , U14s Ball Throw, U14s Javelin, U12s, U14 Long Jump, U16 High Jump, Best of Luck to everyone we'd ask parents to help out if needed with the finishing line and getting athletes to their start.Many thanks.
