Every Monday Start time 7:15pm. Suitable for beginners and seasoned athletes,Walkers & runners welcome,Training towards 5K / 10K runs in the Spring, Floodlit route, Coaching provided by club athletes Mossy Bracken & Matthew Ryan,NEW MEMBERS WELCOME,Just turn up and we will get you set up.
Juvenile Training:
Juvenile training returned last Thursday Jan 8th, Our club committee are working towards a plan for the Indoor Season Where training will take place at the Community Sports Centre beside our club grounds in Littleton Training Days remain the same Tuesdays & Thursdays staying at 7pm to 8pm but might be broke into 2 sessions depending on attendance and group size Please see our whatsapp group and social media pages for updates on this. Running News & Results:
Sunday, January 11th: Saw A podium finish and a fast start to 2026 for Moycarkey Coolcroo runner Brendan Neary Last Sunday afternoon Back running well again after returning from injury Brendan placed 3rd in a good time of 31:43 at the Tom Walsh 10km road race in Caherconlish Co Limerick Well done Brendan.
January 10th: Kudos to Tom O'Dwyer who was out early last Saturday capturing some stunning photographs along his training route while out running the Dublin Mountain Way covering over a marathon distance of 26.22 Tom has completed many marathons and Ultras we wish him all the best in his training.
Congrats to Mossy Bracken: who made the Irish 10 Mile Rankings List 2025 for the fastest times recorded in the past 12 months, This is his third year in a row to do so, His best time in 2025 was his Top 10 finish in the John Treacy 10 Mile road race in Dungarvan where he ran 52mins & 28secs, Great stuff, Well done Mossy.Thanks to John Walsh & Running in Munster for the info.
January 1st: Paul Gooney got 2026 off to a good start running 45:43 at the Grange Fermoy 10km in Glanworth, Cork on New Year's day Well done Paul. On December 28th: Donie Bergin had a podium finish placing 3rd in 28mins&15secs at the Moher Hill 7km Charity Run in Upperchurch, Congrats Donie. On December 26th: Mandy Fennessy and Dennis O'Reilly both represented the club at the popular Clonmel AC MSD 4 Mile road race on St.Stephen's Day which attracted a big turnout of nearly 700 runners, Denis was first home in 165th place in the Men's in 29:05 with Mandy 43rd place in the Women's in a time of 30:04 Great running by both.
Fixures:
Anyone looking for fixtures to pick out coming up Fethard AC have 3K Road Series in February to suit anyone from beginners to seasoned runners looking to see how fast they can run the 3km distance also nice stepping stone for those aiming to run their first 5km.
