Ferrybank AC Athletes Shine at Irish Schools Championships

The 2025 Irish Schools Track and Field Championships took place this weekend in Tullamore, showcasing the very best of youth athletics across the country. Ferrybank AC athletes were out in force, representing their respective schools with distinction—and delivering a host of standout performances.
🏆 Top honours go to Ellis McHugh (Waterpark College), who stormed to gold in the Senior Girls 400m Hurdles with a brilliant new PB of 60.52s. Ellis also placed 6th in the 100m Hurdles, rounding off an exceptional weekend.
🥈 Siofra Maloney (St Angela’s) produced a fantastic double podium, securing silver medals in both the Minor Girls High Jump and Long Jump.
🥉 Siri O’Flynn (St Angela’s) claimed a hard-fought bronze in the Minor Girls 800m, while Emily Power (St Angela’s) was just 1cm off silver in the Junior Girls Triple Jump, earning a well-deserved bronze medal.
💪 Strong performances also came from:
🟢 In the relays, St Angela’s Minor Girls team placed 6th, and their Junior Girls team came 5th, showing strength in depth and teamwork across the board.
A massive well done to all Ferrybank AC athletes on their achievements at the highest level of school athletics in Ireland. Each performance is a testament to the hard work, consistency, and passion these young athletes bring to the sport.
