Camille Herron has set fourteen new records after running for a total of 6 days at the ‘Further’ Ultra Marathon event in California.
The creators of the project Lululemon describe it as a “First of its kind Ultra Marathon starting on March 6th in La Quinta, California. Ten women will attempt to break their records, world records, and break open possibilities for women in sport”.
Herron’s set a new 6 day women's record which was just one of a total of fourteen that she set during the event (subject to ratification) including -
- 48 Hour American Open Road Record - 247.73 miles
- Women’s 300 Mile World Record - 2 days, 11 hours, 54 mins, 28 seconds
- Women’s 500k World Record - 2 days, 14 hours, 45 seconds
- Women’s 72-hour World Record - 342.09 miles
- Women’s 600k World Record - 3 days, 9 hours, 23 minutes
- Women's 900k World Record - 142 hours, 40 minutes, 58 seconds
- Women’s 400 Mile World Record - 3 days, 16 hours, 35 minutes, 26 seconds
- Women's 96 Hour World Record
- 700k World Record - 98 hours, 33 minutes, 58 seconds
- 800k World Record - 117 hours, 44 minutes, 55 seconds
- Women's 500 Mile World Record
- Women's 6 day World Record - 901.8km
- 120 Hour World Record
- 144 Hour World Record
Camille is no stranger to incredible endurance achievements and currently holds the outright world records for 100 miles (12:41:11) and 50 miles (5:38:41).
The Ultra Running legend is coached by her Irish husband and former elite runner, Conor Holt and can regularly visits and trains around the roads and hills of Dublin and Wicklow.
