However, the excitement didn't end there. The junior category, featuring a shorter 3.2km course with a 110m elevation, showcased the incredible talent of young runners. Ciara Meldrum and Darragh Kelleher emerged triumphant in the female and male categories respectively, demonstrating remarkable speed and agility on the challenging terrain.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of Race Director Joe O'Leary and the army of volunteers who braved the elements to ensure the smooth running of the event. Their tireless efforts ensured that participants could fully immerse themselves in the beauty and excitement of the Torc Wood race.

As the dust settles on yet another exhilarating race, attention turns to the upcoming events on the IMRA Munster calendar. The Seefin Uphill race, scheduled for Friday, April 12th, promises another thrilling test, while the Seefin Challenge on Sunday, April 14th, marks the final race in the Winter/Spring League. Both events are part of the Euro Trials, offering participants the chance to push themselves to the limit and compete against some of the region's finest athletes.
