Curragh Woods was host to an exhilarating display of trail running on Sunday as the IMRA Munster Summer/Autumn Trail League raced into its sixth event. Under a clear sky and bathed in sunshine, runners tackled an 8km course that featured 240m of elevation gain.
In the fiercely competitive female category, Carol Finn claimed the top spot, followed closely by Faye O'Riordan and Sarah Forristal in second and third places respectively. Finn's quality propelled her to victory, while O'Riordan and Forristal showcased their strength once again on the IMRA course.
Among the male competitors, Diarmuid McNamara surged ahead to clinch first place, leaving behind James Murphy and Paul Kennedy who secured second and third places. McNamara's impressive performance underscored his skill in trail running, navigating the twists and turns of Curragh Woods with speed.
The success of the event wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of Race Director Michael Hallahan and his team of volunteers. Their planning and commitment ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, showcasing Curragh Woods' natural beauty.

Featuring five races spread over three adrenaline-filled days, the festival promises unparalleled challenges along with breathtaking views.
